One week ago we were greeted by the current directors at Lybrook Community Ministries with "Welcome home!" Our heads are still spinning with all of the new people we are meeting, the new information we are learning, and the new "map" we are forming in our heads of where things are around here.
We enjoy the peacefulness of beautiful surroundings, the friendliness of local Navajos we are meeting, and the slower pace of life. The more we learn about life situations here, the more we realize the challenges are HUGE. Right now it feels like we only have bandaids in our kit...and we are facing gaping wounds bleeding out in front of us. We are reminded over and over that only GOD can transform lives in this community!

- I'm still working to answer "who am I?" The easy answers: a wife, a mom, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a ski patroller, a home-school teacher, a dreamer... But, behind all that, who am I? Gradually, I'm learning to celebrate more foundational things about me. I thrive on meeting new people and hearing some about their stories. I seek to find and appreciate beauty wherever I am. I value nourishing friendships--with my older children and with kindred spirits. I am a grieving mom, leaning on God and looking for hope.
